Brad Friend focuses on construction law and government contracts with extensive experience in highway construction disputes, commercial general liability and builders’ risk insurance, claim preparation and litigation, design-build contracts, state and federal bid protests, mechanic’s liens, performance and payment bond issues, and contract drafting.
Brad also has experience in commercial and general litigation including employment law, bankruptcy, lease agreements and landlord-tenant disputes, secured transactions, business formation, environmental law, real estate, zoning, and post-judgment collection. Brad has successfully represented both small and large contractors on complex legal matters through mediation, settlement negotiations, full trial preparation and litigation in state and federal courts.
Brad is a graduate of West Virginia University College of Law (J.D., 2003) and the University of Florida (B.A., with honors, 1999). He is admitted to practice in the Commonwealths of Virginia and Pennsylvania, District of Columbia, States of Maryland and West Virginia and related Federal Courts.
